We are pleased to announce that we will be holding our third CRUK Lung Cancer Centre of Excellence Students and Postdocs Workshop at the Royal York Hotel, York, on Thursday 29 and Friday 30 November.
The two-day programme will include keynote lectures from Dr. John Poirier, The Charles Rudin Lab Co-Director at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, and Dr Daniela Thommen, Group Leader at the Netherlands Cancer Institute. There will also be talks from Centre faculty, as well as students and postdocs.
The topics covered in the two-day workshop will include
- Tumour Heterogeneity and Biomarkers
- Mechanisms Driving Lung Tumorigenesis
- Cancer Immunology and Immunotherapies
- Early Detection and Pre-Invasive Disease
- Radiotherapy and Drug Discovery
- Precision Based Medicine in the Clinic
There will be a chance for you to present and receive feedback from leading academics, as well as ‘meet the experts’ and careers and fellowships sessions.
The workshop is open to all PhD students, Clinical Fellows, and Postdocs working within the lung cancer field at both UCL and Manchester, as well as invited Postdocs and Students from external Institutes. All submitted abstracts will be considered for poster and oral presentations.
Places for this residential workshop are limited and attendance on both days (with an overnight stay) will be required.
